Plant Manager

Job Description : PLANT MANAGER DESALINATION UAE 20+ years experience a European company responsible for planning and development of a large coke, power, and desalination plant in the United Arab Emirates. The Desalination Plant Manager will provide strategic operational oversight for all production and operating processes for the desalination plant. In this role, you will be accountable for standards aligned to safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance. The plant will operate as per EU and German quality standards and processes and will be a prestigious project within the Middle Eastern region. Your duties and responsibilities will include: Plan, manage and control all functional aspects of the desalination plant to ensure that production output and quality targets are achieved to the set requirements and German quality standards Ensure all production within the factory is achieving output targets in terms of quantity and quality, and in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards Prepare production reports and ensure strict compliance to establish procedures on control and production Ensure that the facility provides the highest quality output produced in the most efficient manner within budgeted costs Oversee the operation, programming, and maintenance of the machinery to ensure the best output Manage all logistical aspects within the desalination plant Consider moving from BAT to state-of-the-art science and technology using IoT and AI Secure separation between generic and nongeneric activities for a precise make or buy decision Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate safety and environmental programs standards and goals Responsible for strategy execution, management, and compliance of capital and operating budgets Managing the plant's P&L and drive plant performance by leading strategic implementation results of operational efficiency programs Champion a culture that builds, operates, and maintains plants that are operationally sound, safe, and efficient Develop plans and deliver best results while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions Closely monitor staff selection and alignment with current and future needs Inspire and engage direct reports to role model high-performance team behaviors Report to the COO To be successful in this role you should have the following skills and experiences: University degree in Engineering or similar At least 10 years of working experience as a Plant Manager in a desalination plant Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification a plus Experience managing to the ISO or equivalent quality standards is required Stand-alone competencies within the BAT core asset base Excellent English language skills, German would be an added value Strong organization skills including the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines Capability to effectively interact with a high degree of professionalism Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate a team of employees Solid and proven decision-making and problem-solving skillset Ability to work with a multi-cultural team Willingness to move to the UAE (Fujairah) and to accept a long-term commitment ·
