Cluster Head 

Job Description : CLUSTER HEAD AFRICA FOR PHARMA · To inspire, align and provide direction to BSV team by creating & delivering value for patient, physicians & stakeholders and will be accountable for ensuring access of BSV medicines to patients in Africa. · Lead a team of Group Country Managers & Country Managers, based across Africa (Anglofone & Francofone) and together with the team, will be responsible to deliver revenue & profit plan. · Specialities: Sales & Marketing, Team management, Leadership, Process orientation Key Responsibilities · Managing Business: 1. Flawless execution & implementation of all commercial strategies – medico/marketing programs, operational planning, portfolio and brand management, launching new assets, market access, through different channels, pricing. 2. Performance management, including resource management 3. Revenue and profit plan delivery: Achieve ex-BSV and in-country revenue objectives and net marketing contribution for the plan period. · Leadership & Team management: 1. Inspiring, engaging and aligning sales team for value delivery through customer coverage, promotion of BSV brands, consistently working on demand creation for BSV brands. 2. Knowledge management: Industry, regulatory, emerging opportunity, competition & trade. 3. Providing timely and accurate feedback's to line manager and central HO team. · Process: 1. Preparation of sales, Expense, Marketing budget and controlling the same. 2. Monthly MIS: Sales, NMC & other deliverable 3. Monthly and long- range forecasting for brands /SKUs 4. Conducting review meetings for team/Managers · Stakeholder management: External: 1. HCPs (Healthcare professionals) and Key Opinion leaders (KOLs) 2. Distributor & trade partners 3. MoH & Regulatory Authority/Consultants: Regulatory front ending for new product registration and renewals 4. Trademark authorities 5. Government / Private procurement bodies, including tendering authorities and hospitals (Key accounts) 6. Industry bodies Internal: 1. Cross functional teams: Supply chain, Finance, Procurement, HR, Commercial excellence, L&D, Medical Affairs BD, Pharmacovigilance. 2. Products Promotion through Field force. Work with central / country Marketing teams to ensure consistent demand /sales generation. 3. Ensure correct usage of CRM and other sales applications Experience · Minimum of 15 yrs. of experience in pharmaceutical sales/marketing in of which minimum 5 years of multiple country exposure in Africa markets. · Sound knowledge of Africa pharma market (trade & tender), regulatory/product registration processes, trade & tariffs, imports and local distribution set ups will be essential. · Prior experience in critical care / Women’s health & infertility therapy area will be an added advantage with strong KOL / KBL relationship. · Exposure for conducting secondary market research will be desirable. Language proficiency: Fluent in English, with proficiency in French will be of advantage. Qualification · Minimum Science Graduate/Pharmacy graduate/ PGDM/MBA preferred, but not mandatory
