Job Description : GENERAL MANAGER MANUFACTURING AND DISTRIBUTION Vancouver Canada well-established manufacturing and distribution company undergoing significant growth is seeking a General Manager to provide leadership and support to the sales, operations, finance, and administrative teams. Reporting to the President, the successful candidate will provide strategic focus and will participate in the vision and shaping of strategy and goals. As a member of the executive management team, the General Manager will promote accountability and responsibility while championing the adoption of efficient processes, systems and controls. This is an exciting opportunity to get in at a key stage of the company’s growth and shape its success. You will be instrumental in positioning the business to build upon its success. Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies § 10+ year’s management experience, 5 + years at a senior level with proven responsibility for business growth. § Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and motivate a team while operating as a team player § A minimum of an Undergraduate degree and preferably an MBA or equivalent § Successful implementing and adapting strategic and operational plans, budgets and best practices, monitoring and evaluating results § Demonstratable success managing sales and marketing in Canada and the US. § Strong management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure § Outstanding communication skills with an excellent command of the English language with writing skills § Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards
