Job Description : GM RETAIL AUSTRALIA you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and organisational safety and compliance of our operations teams nationally, ensuring that the company’s customer service, delivery, quality, and financial objectives are achieved. You will control and oversee all aspects of warehousing and distribution, whilst providing outstanding service to meet internal and external customer requirements. Key areas: · Lead the safety and sustainability strategy with a practical and operational focus · Achieve operational and commercial goals and identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives · Build relationships with customers to identify opportunities to improve service, operational performance and grow our business with them · Develop, mentor, and motivate your team to drive positive outcomes across all parts of the business · Drive productivity in order to maximise resources throughout the operation, control costs, deliver service excellence and maintain a focus on strategic initiatives Are you the one? You can demonstrate: · Significant experience in a Senior Management role within transport and logistics, and a demonstrated record of safety, operational and financial performance · A track record in driving and lifting organisational performance through effective operational leadership · Sharp commercial acumen, with the ability to consistently deliver positive outcomes · Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills ensuring the provision of advice and liaison with management, with a focus on quality reporting delivery · Well developed, organisational and project management skills with the capacity to assume responsibility and deliver complex, detail oriented and time-constrained work to a high standard and on time · Ability to innovate and challenge current norms to drive change in the organisation and work with people of varying backgrounds and organisational levels
