Business Development Manager

Job Description : BDM GHANA a multinational company is looking for a Business Development Manager to be based at Ghana. Must have experience in trading and investment business, especially in areas of Foods, Agriculture Commodities, FMCG (Fast Moving Consuming Goods) and Chemicals etc. JOB DESCRIPTION Summary Profile: The main purpose of this role is to identify and support the development of trading business and investment project opportunities in West Africa (Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria). Key Responsibilities: · To carry out research, analyze data, prepare proposals and advise on business opportunities, including trading businesses and investment projects mainly in West Africa (Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria). · With the guidance of the General Manager, to carry out negotiations and discussions with relevant stakeholders including companies and government and regulatory bodies to realize trading businesses and investment projects. · Any other task that may be requested by the General Manager in order to meet the business objectives and operational needs of the company in West Africa. Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Others: · Broad business development experience but including specifically experience of trading and investment business experience, especially in areas of Foods, Agriculture Commodities, FMCG (Fast Moving Consuming Goods) and Chemicals etc. · Experience in working for multinationals or international companies essential, and experience in working in outside countries, desirable. · Few years experiences in consulting firm are desirable. · An analytical approach to solving problems. · Good negotiating skills. · Educated up to degree level and professional or post-graduate qualifications. · Potential to manage and lead local staff and to act as right-hand to General Manager. · Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English and French.
