Distribution Manager 

Job Description : DISTRIBUTION MANAGER UAE The Distribution Manager will oversee the smooth running of the logistics, warehousing, day to day operations, fleet, management of permanent and outsourced manpower and servicing of B2B requirements via multiple locations while ensuring customer retention and customer satisfaction is maximized. Key Performance Indicators Distribution Costs On Time In Full ( OTIF) delivery performance Inventory Control Space Utilization Delivery Cycle Time Fleet Asset Utilization Proven track record and experience of working within a fast-paced fresh product environment Strong knowledge and experience in managing overall operations - trading and manufacturing (eg: customer order handling, distribution, logistics etc.) related to Fresh Produce Goods Proven track record in successful green-field projects such as setting up of warehouse, cost optimization / ERP projects, and the ability to manage successfully in a high growth, rapid expansion environment, including business process re-engineering. Prior experience of managing a team of at least 300 and more manpower (permanent & outsourced manpower), understanding the issues and challenges faced. Candidate with strong commercial acumen towards planning and managing operations combined with an experience of ideally 12-15 years of experience of which at least 8 to 10 years in operations, distribution and logistics in the fresh produce industry. Knowledge of best practices from the relevant industry and a hands on approach in utilizing latest technology to monitor and track inventory through the distribution chain and resolve operational issues, if any. Familiarity with a standard known ERP system, ISO, Six Sigma / Lean operations methodology with experience in initiating and managing major cost optimization distribution projects would be an added advantage. Qualifications: Post Graduate qualification in Operations and Supply Chain Management or Engineering will be preferred.
