Job Description : General Manager Cum Business Unit Head – Construction Division Experience: 15+ Years Location: Uganda, Africa Qualification: BE / B. Tech in Civil Engineering Project Exposure: Residential & Commercial Projects Job description Roles and Responsibilities · To prepare planning document detailing the project plan and interface of various agencies and or departments in the execution with the milestones for the individual agency / department · To prepare project execution philosophy through involvement of the concerned so as to ensure meeting the project completion criterions · Organizing and participating in management review meetings and making presentation on major issues Operational · Responsible for project planning, scheduling and monitoring the project activities · Responsible for developing project process and performance schedules · To generate data and analysis to support strategic property planning, approvals · Oversee & guide team members at senior level in terms of planning, organizing resources, setting standards of quality etc., · To document costing of physical assets, improve operations through Value engineering initiatives, and efficiently plan for the future · To document capital projects efficiently through approval processes and to ensure regulatory compliance, minimizing risk · To monitor the project execution progress based on the actual Vs planned. Highlight the deviations for proactive measures of damage control · Finalize department budget and ensure adherence to the same · Ensure minimal expenditure on obtaining timely licenses and approvals from government bodies Technical Knowledge: · Expert in primavera/Auto cads and current civil software programs · Knowledge of relevant construction methodologies · Ability to examine and re-engineer operations & procedures · Knowledge of construction contract documents and specifications · Ability to develop and maintain knowledge management systems and procedures Behavioral Skills · Execution Excellence · Planning and Organizing skills · Leadership skills · Team Orientation · Interpersonal Skills
