Chief Financial Officer

Job Description : The group CFO will be based in Malaysia to further accelerate the growth of the business and be part of shaping different potential paths of taking the company public. · Assist the CEO in developing, strategic direction and positioning to ensure the group's success · Together with the CEO and other parts of the operations, develop and recommend to the board an annual financial budget and business plan in line with the group’s long term strategic direction · Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial controls and supporting information systems of the group · Together with the CEO, approve and coordinate changes and improvements to disclosure controls and procedures and internal control over financial reporting · Coordinate the annual audit with the group's external auditors · Coordinate the preparation of the group’s financial statements and management discussion and analysis (annual and interim) · Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and take steps to enhance, where necessary, the internal control systems within the group. Keep the Board aware of the financial position and financial development of the group · Develop appropriate key performance indicators to monitor and drive the financial performance of the group · Ensure the information communicated to the public fairly portrays the position of the group · Establish and maintain lines of communications with the investor community and oversee the dissemination of the group’s press releases, annual report, communications with analysts and the media and investor relations · Oversee and monitor the group’s financial position, banking and financing activities and capital structure and monitor the respect of banking and financial covenants and hedging arrangements, as applicable · Ensure the adequacy of the group’s insurance coverage · Oversee and monitor effective tax strategies and compliance for the group · Assist the group’s Audit Committee in performing its duties required under the applicable securities laws To succeed in the CFO job, you will need to have understanding of retail business/distributor business models and margin structures. · Previous experience from within a publicly listed company or being part of an IPO process · Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, able to craft compelling proposals · Strong analytical, excel and problem-solving skills, able to structure problems in excel models and processes · Collaborative team player, culturally sensitive, fun-loving, driven and results-oriented · Experience within NetSuite ERP, e-commerce industry and/or general retail is a plus
