Chief Operating Officer

Job Description : COO MALAYSIA BANKING GROUP A Group Chief Operating Officer, Banking Group job has become available at an established banking group with a key presence in Malaysia. The group is currently seeking an experienced leader to lead the group technology and banking operations, based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will maintain control of the technology and transformation and banking operations, optimise the bank’s operating capabilities, employ strategies to maximise the efficiency of the overall business. · Design and implement digital and operations strategies, plans and procedures that are in line with banking group · Provide leadership in managing the business deliverables, ensuring the requirements are covered through BAU activities and with a special focus on creating new value through the smart use of digital tools, platforms, technologies, services, and processes · Ensure effective governance structures are in place to enable oversight, control and monitoring of strategy execution and implementation plans · Manage and support strategic planning, strategic projects lead and execution and internal consulting across the Banking businesses · Develop, build and maintain a dynamic and cohesive team capable of operating in the fast-paced environment To succeed in this Group Chief Operating Officer, Banking Group job, you will need to be strong with hands-on, in-depth banking and credit operations and digital transformation experience. · Minimum of 12 - 15 years’ experience in banking · Experience working in a Lean, Agile environment · Can leverage "soft power" such as values, vision, charisma, networking and collaboration to exert influence outside of reporting lines · Ability to build strong relationships with a wide spectrum of stakeholders both technical and non-technical · High degree of drive and motivation to ensure delivery of objectives in a timely, efficient and effective manner · A good communicator at a personal and group level, able to deliver complex topics in an effective way
