Job Description : TRADING HEAD GHANA ( INDIANS ONLY) 20+ years experience Effectively manage end to end Trading, Sales & Marketing, Retail, Institutional Sales, B2b, B2C and Manufacturing /Production and allied activities of all the companies within the Trading Division in Ghana. The purpose of the job is to achieve the Top line & Bottom Line in line with the Business Strategy of the Organization. Responsible for a holistic P & L Account for the Trading Division. The company is into trading of consumer durables – including electronics, electricals, tyres etc and raw materials polymer and chemicals. Job Purpose of Direct Reports Job purpose of the direct reportee is to assist the Trading Head in achievement of Sales Targets ( Top Line & Bottom Line ) in line with compliance, quality & cost. Job Context & Major Challenge (What are the specific aspects of the job that provide a challenge to the jobholder in the context of the job?) · Defining & Cascading the Sales Strategy · Execution of operations as per SOP · Market Penetration, Brand Building and Brand Promotion · Ensuring finished goods are dispatched within stipulated time period · Ensuring safety & security of the People, Products & Properties of the company · Employee Motivation & team spirit · Ensuring availability of products at all times · Ensuring Customer Service & Customer Satisfaction · Ensuring all the equipment's are running efficiently Accountability ( What to be done ) Budgeting & Costing · Budget Preparation for entire Trading Division · Deciding the Budgets, Top Line with the GM's & Business Heads · Forecasting & Budgeting Sales for assigned Category & Product Line · Costing - Finalization on the pricing of the products · Complete P & L Accountability for the Trading Vertical · Finalization on the margin % for the products Sales for all Verticals - Trading, Retail, Institutional Sales, B2C · Preparing the Sales Strategy for Trading Division · Planning the Range Selling for each vertical within the Trading Division · Monitoring & driving sales based on the Budget & Strategy · Market Penetration - Numeric & Weightage Expansion · Motivating & driving sales team for Sales target achievement - Top Line Sourcing, Procurement & Ordering · Ensuring timely planning for local procurement achieving Production & Project Targets · Ensuring Availability of CKD, Raw Material & Spares at all times · Ensuring procurements are in line with the specifications. · Ensuring procurements are in line with desired quality & within budget. · Introduction and Launch of the New Products, New Categories & SKU's Production & Quality · Developing Production Strategy in line with Business Objectives · Cascading Production Strategy with various Unit / Factory heads · Process Development & implementation · Ensuring achieving of the predetermined production targets · Ensuring timely maintenance of the equipment's to keep the plant in Healthy Condition · Developing strategy for New Product Categories · Ensuring Production as per the budgeted cost & quality norms Project Management - Opening of New Branches & Retail Outlets · Business Expansion - Opening of New Branches & Retail outlets as per the business Plan · Project planning in line with the business requirement · Ensuring timely completion of the project - Retail Outlets/ New Branches & Manufacturing Units · Ensuring project completion as per the agreed budget · Ensuring the output from the project is in line with the designed specifications Service - To Clients, To Customer & After Sales Service · Ensuring high Customer Service levels across the retail stores · Ensuring after sales service for all Two & Three Wheeler business · Good Communication and service to all Institutional Sales Clients & B2C Customers · Ensuring the service within the defined TAT · Conducting Customer Service Satisfaction Surveys as planned · Ensuring compliance of all quality norms for finished goods Market Research & New Product Launch · Exploring expansion opportunities through continuous market research · Ensuring the ATL & BTL activities as budget and planned · Trade Marketing Activities - Participation is Trade fairs · Marketing & Brand Building · Brand Positioning and capturing the market Share · New Product Launch - Communication and Brand Awareness Inventory Management & Cost Control · Monitoring & review of stocks and movement of Finished Goods · Monitoring & review of stocks across verticals · Ensuring maintenance of the Inventory Days as Budgeted for all verticals · Monitoring of Plant Spare Inventory · Monitoring & timely availability of stock of Raw Material · Ensuring the damaged and dented products are within the set norms · Ensuring Trading expenses are in line with budgets · Initiating measures to control costs · Ensuring culture of cost control across the plant Environmental, EHS, Statutory Compliances & Public Relations · Ensuring production in accordance with the proposed norms by various authorities · Ensuring all statutory compliances · Dealing with all government authorities and agencies · Ensuring Health & Safety process are implemented & complied with · Developing relations with all local bodies, departments & people HR & People Development · Recruitment of the staff as per the approved structure · Budgeting Manpower & the structure for the business · Ensuring KRA's are defined for all employees · Periodic review of the performance of the employees · Training & motivation of the staff · Identification of the potential employees for higher responsibilities
