Job Description : CEO MINING CANADA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead their well-financed mining organization through an exciting period of growth and development. Headquartered in Vancouver, B.C. and with exploration sites (lithium) in mining-friendly areas across Canada, they are ready for the next steps in their development. The CEO will leverage their knowledge of the executive functions of public traded companies to ensure that the organization is pursuing all best business practices in the R&D, Operations, and Financial areas. The ideal candidate will have a background in the Lithium sector, a keen ability to execute the strategic vision of the company and a successful track record in the industry. Major Position Responsibilities As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations whilst successfully executing various long-term initiatives and organizational goals. The CEO will: · Collaborate with the Board to develop strategic plans and policy options for the organization; implement these plans in conjunction with the operations team and other stakeholders · Maintain and develop strategic alliances with mining industry partners to enhance shareholder value · Oversee operational and financial processes; collaborate with internal partners to manage the budgetary needs and revenue goals of the organization · Prepare the annual business plan · Propose and implement organizational policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all provincial and federal regulations and optimize the safety and success of all company partners · Plan, assist with, and lead exploration work programs on the company’ s properties · Liaise with third party consultants to ensure work programs are completed on budget What The Company Will Expect From You · Substantial experience and knowledge working within the Lithium industry · C-Suite experience managing a publicly traded mining company · Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business, Geology, or another related field · Proven ability to effectively present and communicate key technical, financial, safety, environmental and social matters to the board and other stakeholders · Experience and knowledge needed to ensure compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and associated permits · Strong financial acumen · Exceptional people management skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills
