Job Description : GM FINANCE ADELAIDE AUSTRALIA The General Manager, Finance will be responsible for the leadership of the multi-faceted Corporate and Operational Finance and Accounting teams, consisting of 65 reports including accounts payable, payroll, statutory and management reporting, accounts receivable/credit control and taxation. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will provide support and information on Adbri’s strategies, mergers & acquisitions and investor relations matters, whilst maintaining the commitment to providing exceptional customer service, internally and externally. The journey this division has embarked upon has been aligned to Adbri’s commitment to four objectives: increasing the business partnering capabilities across the business, driving a more effective and efficient way of working, increasing collaboration across the function and developing their people to be the best they can be therefore this position is pivotal to leading the drive for successful and meaningful performance. This position will have direct exposure to the Executive Leadership Team and the Board with the responsibility of managing stakeholder relationships and the ability to present transparent financial information to increase value through agile decision making. The key responsibilities are: Responsible for the delivery of all financial and management reporting for the group Continuing to drive efficiencies through the accounting supply chain centralised services model – including accounts payable, payroll, credit, management and statutory accounting Development, implementation and maintenance of financial and operational systems, procedures and strategies; management of reporting systems and metrics that tie into those strategies Ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results Understand and mitigate key elements of the Company’s risk profile through the use of reliable control systems. This will include identifying key risk mitigation measures Integrity of the financial framework and reporting Assist in the due diligence on potential acquisitions or investment opportunities Work to ensure the long-term success of the company by assisting the CFO in continuing efforts to achieve an industry-leading position Key business partner with operations for the development of financial analysis, business reporting, accounting policies, automation of key business processes Key business partner with IT for the development of business systems and implementation of latest technology including potential for AI and automation of transaction functions Demonstratable experience in a similar role with an ASX Listed Corporate environment Team oriented with strong communication, mentoring and problem-solving skills. Industry experience will be highly regarded but not essential Ability to develop an intimate understanding of the business and work to actively oversee strategic performance CA / CPA qualified South Asians are encouraged to apply.
