Job Description : Plant Head - Production at Steel Manufacturing Industry- KENYA Should have experience in Overall in-charge of Operation, Maintenance and Projects of the Plant Production Planning for SMS, Rolling Mill and Other units. Co-ordination with different heads to reduce breakdown and increase production and productivity. Project Planning, Estimation, Drawing and feasibility evaluation, techno economical study Supplier development and Finalization. Providing detailed project report to Top Management as and when required Planning and executing Preventive, Corrective and planned maintenance of the plant and machineries. MIS report generation Inventory control of plant spares. Consumable and spares management RCA& action plan for MTBF,MTTR Preparation, Implementation and compliance of Mechanical Maintenance related documents like PM schedule, Lubrication schedule, Equipment History and different type of check lists. Cost reduction plan for Fixed and Variables. Preparation of a list of troubles and CAPA to minimize continual failure Manpower management · Production planning with respect to targeted production and machine capacity. · Consumable planning and inventory with respect to various machine tools requirement. · Follow up for quality control with quality assurance of daily production. · Cost control of production with respect to consumables and spare parts. · Planning and co-ordination of maintenance schedule. · Daily monitoring of equipment performance. · Improving maintenance program by updating it in regular interval. · Developing the production and maintenance program implementing total productivity maintenance program-supports the training of working staffs about the machine operation and maintenance. · Monitoring and developing the inventory management for consumables and spare parts. · Developing the production improvement documentation reports from time to time. · Monitoring the inventory of finished slabs and tiles. · Developing the sales a contacting with the European and Gulf region buyers . · Raw material planning as per the requirement with follow up of quarry production. Application of Rolling Process a) Re-heating furnace b) Rolls c) Workshop d) Rolling defects e) Maintenance PROFILE · Direct, Manage & Coordinate Plant Operations for Sales Plans, Production Plans, Productions, Maintenances (Electrical, Mechanical & Utilities), Quality, Procurements & Purchases ,Stores ,Sales, Dispatches, Shipping and Receiving of import materials and Dotted Line to HR and Account Department for Hot Rolling Mill(M/s (Roll Con),CR Mills, Furnaces (Roll con ) · Direct Control over all the Operations of all the units (Including Sales, Dispatches, Account and HR), Responsible for each Sections & their Functionalities, Coordinations, Plant Reports and Reviewing Mechanisms, Fully responsible for Costings ,Stocks & Inventories,P&L and Profitability , Finance Audits and Directors Meeting,Liasing with Banks at Micro Levels along with Accounts. · Ensure Maximum and Optimum uses of Limited Manpower, Resources with no. of constraints , Resolution of Labour Issues with Contractors, Local Unions ,Renewals of Labour Contracts, Transporters Contracts & AMCs. · Responsible for New Products Development /additions, relevant market forecasts and viabilities, Present and Future Strategies formation, Execution for Brown and Green Filed projects, Capex/Opex of the Co. · Optimum Sales, Dispatches, Procurements (Local and International), and each decisions for Modification, Retro fitment, Engineering (Machine, Spares & Equipments) & Energy saving by think rationally. · Developing level of multiskilling of the limited mans for optimum uses, New Customers, Supplier and Vendors Databases for maximizing operations viabilities. Liaising with various Local and International Bodies for Further Improvements. · Periodic physical stock taking of WIP/FG and stock items and highlight the variances, periodic checking of accuracy in measurements of weights across the plant and coordinating for necessary corrections in case of discrepancies, Planning & Budgets exercises, Business Plans, Plant Reports and Performances reviewing Mechanism. · Provide MD with insightful analysis on Domestic and International market, Strategic planning for Sales ,Pricings & Policies, operations, customers, competitors for unit, Assist in preparing investment proposals, quarterly financial performances, Yearly Business Plans of the Unit.
