Chief Executive Officer

Job Description : CEO IVC Chief Executive Officer / Directeur Général for its new plant construction project. The position is based in Abidjan. The CEO/DG will manage the new group project which comprises design, financing, and construction of a new power generation plant. Lead the technical, contract management, environmental and finance departments and report to the Board Oversee the implementation of EPC Contract to ensure timely completion within the target budget and quality assumptions. Oversee the implementation of O&M Contract to ensure a seamless transition from construction period to operations. Manage contractor claims, approve payment requests Enforce adherence to Concession Agreement, Power Purchase Agreement and Financing Agreements, Envionmental Permits and all other relevant laws and regulations Implement Environmental Action Plan with the assistance of E&S team Prepare financal and technical reports to Financiers, Sponsors and Governmental Authorities with the assistance of its team Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders, Interacts with Governmental Authorities participating the project such as Ministry of Energy, municipality, prefecture, etc. Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth University Degree in Engineering or Business Administration fields Master degree is an asset At least 15 years of experience with 5 years in managerial position in similar businesses: IPP structure, SPV leadership Strong understanding of project finance and construction management principles In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and public speaking skills. Must be able to work and interact effectively with a diverse stakeholder group. Previous experience of managing substantial projects in sub Sahrahan Afrcan and preferably Francophone West Africa. Fluent in French – English
