Operations Manager

Job Description : VESSEL OPERATIONS MANAGER GREECE This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading global dry bulk shipowner in their dry cargo commercial operations group. We're looking for an experienced operations manager with a dry cargo background. For the right candidate company will sponsor a visa. Key requirements: · Previous experience managing a operations team is essential · Strong knowledge of Charter Parties terms and conditions · Prepare voyage orders, sailing instructions and other items to ensure efficient operations · Co-ordinate with all concerned parties including owners, cargo interests, agents, and other · Maintain Voyage Management System (VMS) regularly to ensure accuracy and reliability · Work with charterers to coordinate voyage operations and communications · Monitor financial performance of voyages and act to improve same · Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks and competing priorities · Ability to support operations during and outside of normal office hours Ideal candidate's profile: · Sailing experience aboard dry cargo vessels would be a significant advantage · University degree preferred - relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree · Outstanding communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills · Familiar and comfortable with the IMOS software platform · 15+ years of dry cargo ship operating experience required · Preferred experience on the owner / operator side of the trade · Ability to work as an individual within a team environment In return, you can expect an excellent compensation package and excellent career prospects.
