Deputy General Manager 

Job Description : DGM TRAVEL OMAN 15+ years experience Roles and Responsibilities 1. To motivate the sales team to hit and exceed their targets and ensure company profitability. To meet regularly with team leaders to give them sales figures and plan how they approach their work. 2. To use operations management skills, such as establishing work plans and objectives, so as to oversee the smooth, efficient running of the business. 3. To promote and market the business, to new or niche markets and to use sales and marketing skills, such as determining potential markets. 4. To provide timely information on any misuse/pilferage to Management 5. To source products and destinations to meet consumer demands for bespoke travel and sustainable tourism 6. To deal with customer enquiries and aim to meet their expectations 7. To implement alternative and innovative ideas for achieving new business 8. To negotiate preferred rates with vendors of direct travel. 9. To research travel deals and evaluating prices and services 10. To maintain positive relationships with vendors of direct travel, such as car rentals, hotels, and airlines. 11. To ensure correct ticketing practices are followed and impart proper guidance to junior team members on using proper customer etiquettes and telephone etiquettes 12. To liaise with travel partners, including airlines and hotels, to plan for bookings and schedules, often a year in advance. 13. To perform duties other than the above, as specified by the Manager and as required by the company and department requirements.
