Job Description : GROUP FINANCE MANAGER DUBAI a reputed trading, investments and distribution division head-quartered in Dubai requires a Group Finance manager. Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer, potential incumbents will be responsible for the day-to-day group financial operations and systems ensuring effective reporting and control of; group accounts, compliance, audits, capital expenditure, investments, and assets. The Group Finance Manager must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in a deadline-oriented workplace, always performing to the highest standard. Will be responsible for directly managing the finance and accounts team. Major key results areas are displayed below. Duties and responsibilities 1.Finance - Review and authorization of the following areas: Payments – Review and authorize all payments ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals. Income – Liaise with the Accounts team and the Divisions Managers to provide updates on expected income and related timing of receipt. Month-end - review of journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Payroll – Review of supporting documentation for the monthly payroll for the Group, ensuring compliance with relevant local regulations. Overseas Offices (Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia) Review and analyze reports from overseas offices. Work closely with the overseas offices to assist in building their financial capacity and highlight areas for closer monitoring by management Budgets - developing and monitoring of Group budgets and financial forecasting including Board reporting as directed. Group Cash flows – Timely preparation of Group cash flows forecasts to ensure the availability of funds as required. Finance System – (Oracle-ERP) Continue to lead the ongoing development of the finance system and reporting tools ensuring it successfully meets all Group needs. Work with the Group CEO and IT team on the integrity of the information's of the finance system and extract useful reports & dashboards Reporting Communication of timely and accurate information to relevant stakeholders. Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, six-monthly, and annual financial reporting for relevant stakeholders, including the Group CEO, Directors, and the Chairman. Coordinate the preparation and communication of annual financial statements and reports to the BODs. Analyze and provide commentary for financial/management reports. Controls & Procedures – Develop and maintain the policies and procedures and the finance SOPs for use within the Accounts and finance team. Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures. 2.Internal collaborations Working with Divisions heads and the Group CEO to prepare budgets, forecasts, and other financial plans Working with all Divisions heads to ensure that their budgets are managed for the most effective and efficient use of financial resources 3.Compliance - Monitoring compliance with all relevant financial regulations Coordinate annual audits. Coordinate with the external auditors to ensure that audits are properly planned, carried out and that financial reports are prepared within set timelines Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal and external financial management and regulatory requirements. Ensure financial compliance with all relevant regulations in each jurisdiction – UAE, Oman, Qatar, and the KSA. Review and filing of statutory returns as required, including VAT as per FTA rules and regulations Remain up to date on accounting best practices, policies and procedures, and all relevant legislation in relevant jurisdictions. 4.Management of the Group finance team members Manage and supervise the accounting and finance team. Share knowledge and where relevant coach other team members. Assist with the recruitment, retention, development, and performance management of finance and accounts staff Key Competencies Ability to analyze and communicate financial information Ability to take initiative, research and resolve issues Ability to delegate appropriately, and to coach and mentor finance staff Ability to liaise at an executive level and to work under pressure Ability to work cross-culturally Calm and mature demeanor with an ability to manage shifting and competing priorities and tight deadlines Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work with data, and compile, review and understand spreadsheets Sound knowledge of accounting software, preferably Oracle ERP Ability to analyze the weakness and the strength. Financial modeling Advanced financial acumen & financial strategy. Requirements 10 years experience in managerial level, preferred in the Trading industry. Native Arabic Speaker Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, CMA, CPA, MBA is an advantage. Prior experience managing teams in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment Ability to work independently and make decisions Experience in Oracle ERP is an advantage
