HDPS align itself with premium brands and products and support a high-performing service team to deliver the needs of its longstanding, loyal client base. HDPS is a Southpac Trucks parts and service dealer and is the only full Cummins service dealer in the wider Canterbury region. They are also the distributor of Caltex Lubricants for the Canterbury, Nelson and Marlborough areas. Its fully equipped workshops service a wide range of makes and models of road transport, marine and construction equipment. HDPS is a growing and fast paced organisation which has led to exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive or Senior Leader step into the newly created, Christchurch based, role of the General Manager. About the opportunity Reporting to the Managing Director and the Board, the role of the General Manager is essential in developing and implementing a strategic business plan for HDPS to ensure a sustainable future. The General Manager will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Managing Director and the Board to strategically streamline process in order to positively enhance operational process. The General Manager will be responsible for change leadership to ensure a successful and sustainable future for HDPS. In doing this you will: · Provide strategic leadership across all HDPS teams · Develop new and existing stakeholder relationships · Oversee and regularly review operational business models to ensure they are fit for purpose and support a sustainable future · Develop and lead business planning. About you To be successful in the General Manager role you will be commercially astute and strategically minded. You will be experienced in strategic business planning and confident in presenting recommendations to the Board. Observant by nature, you can step into an organisation, observe day-to-day activities, rapidly identify gaps and develop and implement strategic, innovative solutions to streamline process. Your natural leadership style means that you can positively influence change with ease in order to enhance business performance. With an inherent ability to develop and foster meaningful relationships you can engage with internal and external stakeholders.
