Solar Project Manager

Job Description : SOLAR PROJECT MANAGER DRC 10-15 years experience Must have Africa experience (this is to have a beter understanding on how to make sales in an upcoming market + to understand on-ground challenges that come up + how beneficial solar can be in this environment). • Must have solar industry experience (mandatory that the majority of this candidate’s career should have been in the solar sector) o Must specifically have experience managing, winning/marketing, and commissioning a range of differently scaled solar projects (e.g. below 200kW till at least 5MW, if not more) • Must have sound technical knowledge and experience with solar energy projects • Should have marketing/business development/sales experience relating to solar projects • Should have managerial experience, particularly relating to solar divisions/companies/units • Working with the solar team + finance team to improve the costs so we can remain highly competitive • Skills analysis and training program of solar team members • Planning any hiring requirements • Have a pipeline/timeline for clients to target • Design projects, prepare BOQs, etc. (will have the assistance of a technical supervisor who will also execute work onground) • Review procurement planning, Private contracts should be won, Tenders should be submitted • A clear proposal for different NGOs and govt should be developed which can be presented further • Working with the finance team to identify solar-related funds and grants available and developing presentations, business plans, etc which can be pitched • Have a minimum stock plan for procurement requests to ensure stock levels are maintained • Preparing a bimonthly presentation for management • A government proposal should be in discussion for solar farms or other larger scale projects • Annual Maintenance Contracts and other additional services/add-ons should be clearly planned and included under services offered
