Group Application Manager

Job Description : GROUP APPLICATION MANAGER UAE Roles and Responsibilities Lead the Applications and R&D and be responsible to provide technical support and work in collaboration with the sales team. Facilitate in converting projects to actual sales, thereby contributing towards the set objectives of the business unit. Areas of responsibility · Creative product development, strong knowledge on technology development, excellent product development support for the customer, commercialization of products and a strong understanding of consumer and sensory testing, including its application to product development. · Application of technical expertise, food ingredients knowledge and problem-solving skills to achieve product innovation goals. · Lead innovation product development support for customers and validate performance against corporate business goals. · Develop and manage customer relationship at all levels. · Drive study and discovery of new ingredients and technologies · Interface and communicate project status with customers and commercial team · Liaison for Technical expertise with other Applications groups, Sales teams and customers · Manage an Application team · Handle multiple categories of products in assigned regions. · Plan frequent market visits to understand the apparent and latent needs of the customer. · Research on relevant industry developments and introduce new products to the customers and advice on the usage. · Prepare reports for future reference and decision making. · Take proactive initiatives to satisfy customer needs. · Efficiently handle customer complaints and escalate sensitive issues to the senior management. · Ensure effective implementation of quality initiatives · Proved experience in managing large technical team is a MUST Desired Candidate Profile · Degree in Science or related field. Minimum 10 years experience in R&D, application lab for testing food ingredients or food products. Good research and analytical skills. · Preferred : Master’s in food technology/ Dairy Technology. Knowledge about functional ingredients
