Engineering and Project Head

Job Description : Head, Engineering & Projects Location - Lagos Company - A leading downstream Oil & Gas company based in Nigeria. You will be responsible for managing all technical, engineering and construction project activities in the company and its affiliates. The role includes engineering design, selecting EPCI contractors and managing contractor performance for cost, quality & time to completion. You also will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s engineering standards; oversee and ensure operations have no technical issues and quickly resolve any issues that arise in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical/Instrumentation. He/she will enforce compliance with statutory requirements, company codes of practice, and best practice industry standards. The position will work with the General Counsel to manage the Company’s interface and compliance with Government Regulatory Agencies and Local Communities, as well as ensure that all the Company activities meet statutory and Group HSE standards. Qualifications and Requirements • Educated to degree level (preferably Masters) in an engineering discipline or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years’ experience particularly in global EPC and/or Downstream Oil & Gas • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification • Demonstrable experience in Engineering projects • Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvement decisions • Experience operating and influencing at a strategic level • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, excellent communication and presentation skills
