Financial Controller

Job Description : FC SOUTH AFRICA · Professional degree in Accounts/Finance (CPA/CFA/CA/CIMA or equivalent professional qualification in accountancy is must) · 12+ years of experience in accounting and finance with at least 5 years of experience post-qualification (in professional accounting/finance degree above). · Knowledge of applicable accounting standards and aptitude for current statutory/taxation and compliance practices · Strong leadership, technology, analytical and communication skills. Specific Job Responsibilities: · Working along with Country Head & Finance head, the Finance controller will not only be an exceptional accountant and hands-on with company finances but will also be commercially aware, advising on the best path of growth for the business. · The role of the Finance Controller has overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy and is expected to analyse figures and implement recommendations based on these findings, with the most profitable outcomes. · Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials and oversee all financial, project/program · Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; assess any changes necessary. · Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organizations financial status. · Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting. · Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements. · Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance departments overall policy and procedure manual. · Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the CFO and EVP Emerging market &BD. · Hiring, training and retaining competent finance staff · Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers and advisors Functional/Technical Skills or Industry Experience · Professional degree in Accounts/Finance (CPA/CFA/CA/CIMA) or equivalent professional qualification in accountancy is must) · SAP knowledge is preferred, hands on experience on Excel, PPT · Pharma industry experience will be preferred.
