Job Description : Category Manager – Pharmaceutical Job Location - Dubai Salary – AED 20 – 22K Industry – Pharmaceutical Job Responsibilities: • Responsible for creating and implementing category strategies and managing a portfolio of spend. • Devise long-term development strategies for product categories. • Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility. • Assume responsibility for budget development and revenue for the category. • Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category. • Conduct internal and external spend and market analyses, identify opportunities, lead sourcing teams, negotiate contracts and manage key supplier relationships. • Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services. • Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories. • Recognizes procurement needs and gaps in procurement, inventory and supply chain and • creates and executes strategies to address same. • Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory. • Understand the legal, technical, and commercial aspects of agreements • Works with key local and international partners to enhance merchandising at retail stores. Education & Qualification: • Graduate or Post Graduate • Previous experience as a Pharmacist would be preferred. • 8+ years of work experience in Category Management in Pharmaceutical related industry • Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles. • Must have direct experience managing category management projects and development of sourcing strategies • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP platforms. • Excellent communication and people skills.
