15 yearsJob Description : OPERATIONS MANAGER UAE FOR PLASTIC PRODUCTION Overseeing development, performance and maintenance of the HQ & factory activities to achieve targets and obtain the maximum efficiency, production, quality, service, profitability and safety for the organization. The role shall lead to succession planning to be General Manager for the unit. · Oversee the management of Finance, Accounts, Sales and Marketing · Oversee Factory Operations which include: · Oversee the creation of company and factory schedules (Shift and regular) · Overseeing proactive equipment preventive maintenance as needed · Regularly monitoring the performance of factory staff, and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner. · Enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations with the purpose of preventing accidents and injuries. · To be a successful general manager, he should demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills and be proactive in resolving any issues that may derail production. Ultimately, a top-performing general manager should have exceptional communication, management, and leadership skills to ensure that the HQ & factory operations run smoothly. · Develop and implement innovative strategies to streamline factory operations. · Oversee all daily operations of the factory from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. · Overall responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with related legal/statutory regulations, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations and Best Practice Guidelines, ISO certification · Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations · Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards · Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping, and collaborate with factory supervisor to establish and execute quality control processes. · Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results · Develop and implement proactive strategies in alignment with mission and vision and provide a clear sense of direction and focus · Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions · Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and manage and develop factory staff,screening, training and advising in recruiting new factory workers. · Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime · Commit to factory safety procedures · Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets · Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements · Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts · Creating fair and efficient schedules for support and production staff (6-1 Shift schedules and 6 days non shift schedules) · Develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. · Ensure that factory machinery is in good working order. · Oversee recording and Analysis of production data to identify and resolve any production issues. · Prepare production reports and monthly overall operations and financial reports, submit and present them to the Company’s Board to key decision-maker. · Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards. · Motivate factory workers to continually achieve factory targets, and set KPIs for team members and all employees. · Ensure the team understands that the factory’s profits and achievements are reflected in all its operations and activities – including relationships and risk management. · Achieve maximum customer satisfaction in accordance with organization plans and strategy. · Assist in setting up the factory’s 5-year Business Plan and its growth strategy. · Continuously propose, present and implement improvements on the company’s operations and products in order to achieve its growth targets. · Oversee and collaborate with support staff (sales, finance, marketing and accounting) to assure alignment with the factory operations. · Effective liaison with and support and assistance to the whole of the organization · Maintain and improve processes and mechanisms for factory production and activities, including surveying and measuring the operations, processes, outcomes and profitability and disseminate feedback to higher management. · Utilize appropriate systems to manage factory production, functions, analysis and documentation · Develop and direct plans for the factory operations and production to achieve set targets · Develop plans for the factory’s progress, production improvement and general growth · Oversee and extend support to all other production and support units/departments with related issues · Subject to agreed criteria, recruitment, training, set action and targets, appraise and manage performance, development, coaching and general support of all team members to ensure · targets are met · Reporting (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis or as otherwise required · Developing and executing plans for team activities aligned to strategy with the purpose of achieving targets · Assist in the development and preparation of the strategy and general business planning of both the factory and the organization. · Delegate authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability, and review · Set an example for team members of commitment, leadership, work ethics and habits and personal character · Develop processes for maintaining accurate and high-quality records across all support and operational departments · Oversee efficient use of resources and necessary control of expenses to meet targets and budgets · Adhere to all organization policies and procedures · Interact and co-operate with all members of the organization, its suppliers and customers · Bachelors of science degree in industrial management, logistics, or related field · A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience · Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory. · Proven work experience as a Plant/ factory Manager · Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (finance, accounting, sales,marketing, budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources) · Certification in production and inventory management as well as quality control. · Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment and technical expertise · The ability to multitask. · Outstanding time management skills. · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. · Strong management and leadership skills. · Effective communication skills. · Adequate knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes · Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant Microsoft Office applications. · Ability to create accountability and to lead by example · Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
