15 yearsJob Description : Production Manager (Beverage Production) NIGERIA Location: Ota Expats encouraged to apply subsidiary of a conglomerate that specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of Alcoholic drinks, Beverages, Liquors, Wine, and Spirit products. The Company is seeking to hire a resourceful Production Manager that will be responsible for the planning and coordination of the entire production process in the plant. S/He will lead and direct the production team to meet the business goals while ensuring production is of high quality, on time and on budget in a safe work environment. The ideal candidate for this role must be highly experienced in scheduling production runs and skilled in people management to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency. S/He must have deep knowledge of the peculiarities and nuances of production machinery and processes. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of all production activities to include safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost. Oversee every aspect of the production process, from the acquisition and processing of raw materials to the bottling and dispatch of the finished product. Support and direct line managers and other subordinates to accomplish these goals. Attend daily and weekly tastings to test the quality of the beer being produced and collaborate with laboratory staff to evaluate chemical composition analysis of the beers being produced and raw materials being used. Promote a safe working environment by continually identifying safety improvements and taking appropriate action(s) when necessary. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, or engineering. MBA or Msc in relevant field would be an added advantage. 15+ years’ experience in the production field in a distillery or brewery with at least 4 years in a senior management position. Proven experience running a production line and implementing quality assurance schemes. Experience working in Glass, PET and Sachet Production Lines. Proven ability in using best practice manufacturing techniques to improve a distillery or brewery. Demonstrated knowledge of brewing practices and understanding of process controls. Experience working on carbonation. Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards. Knowledge of government regulatory programs. Ability to drive improvement and innovation at a distillery or brewery. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Physically fit and able to work in a demanding environment
