Job Description : COMMODITY DIRECTOR UAE · Own the P&L of the commodity and the OKR’s tied to the business unit. · Set up and execute the business unit’s strategy and tactical plans to achieve business unit goals. · Seek alternate and innovative ideas to provide business unit solutions, challenge requirements, and specifications to create a competitive advantage to the commodity. · Analyze and continuously monitor the market and industry data and trends to ensure the commodity remains competitive and continues to grow · Enhance the buyer and seller journey by identifying and presenting new market opportunities and associated commodity offerings developing a roadmap with key touchpoints and action areas. · Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans · Provide regular and appropriate communications to stakeholders to ensure the business understands industry best practices, trends, and categories knowledge · Cultivate a solid working knowledge of commodity trends including industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, material lead times, and technical/manufacturing processes. · Build shape and develop a high-performing team, defining a culture that is in line with Tradeling’s vision and values and inspires meritocracy and personal and business growth. Skills Required: · A minimum of +20 years’ experience in Commodity/ Cross border Trading and Business development · An innovative self-starter with the ability to develop and create new ideas, systems, and relationships for the success of the company · Deep understanding of the B2B process from matchmaking, logistics to trade finance · Bachelor’s degree or years of relevant experience, preferably in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics or Finance · Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex concepts simply · Confident when dealing with suppliers and senior management · Excellent presentation skills · Ability to influence multiple internal and external stakeholders
