20 yearsJob Description : COMMERCIAL HEAD UAE FOR DP WORLD To Lead the Commercial Operations by Attracting, developing new business and manage a portfolio of existing Traders / Agents / FF’ers and ensure effective delivery of products and services which meet customer requirements and achieve business targets in accordance with department strategy. Responsibilities: · To contribute to the development of the strategy setting, as a part of the management team, with particular reference to the development of SSL Commercial objectives. · Identify new customers and the key decision makers, maintain, and leverage relationships primarily with all customers of Logistics. · Maintain regular personal contact to ensure Account Management of key customers is maintained at all times, including; identifying changes in customer working or trade patterns and communicating any possible impact, acting as a principal point of contact and responsible for resolution of customer complaints and disputes, forecasting and performance measurements (KPI) to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship is maintained at all times. · Attract incremental business for Logistics, achieving targets agreed with the Asst. COO. · Identify and exploit opportunities with existing and new customers for future growth as well as Identify and progress new market opportunities through market research, improved industry awareness, and working with other commercial colleagues. · Develop Marketing and Communications department in the production of effective marketing tools such as the website, brochures, presentations etc. · Promote and represent SSL at sales presentations, trade exhibitions, events, etc and maintain awareness of operational activity within Logistics and also the Port. · Negotiating terms of business, including any variations in price, delivery, and specifications and overseeing the closing of sales, ensuring all is communicated through correct channels internally and externally. · Providing potential customers with quotations where required after discussing any cost implications of new business with the Asst. COO & other Sr. Management · Contribute to and ensure compliance with the Sales & Marketing Plan on an ongoing basis. · Monitoring of competitor activity and regular reporting to Logistics Management team. · Coach the department staff on a daily basis AND PROVIDE for each staff member an adequate and personal development plan. · To ascertain all Commercial Process – complaint handling, CRM, pricing model, RFI’s and RFQ’s, are effectively carried out within established policies and procedures.
