10 yearsJob Description : Deputy Outage Manager – Coal Fired Power Plant Outages · Leading Philippine Power Generation Utility · National Outage Management Team, across CFPP Fleet · Based near Manila, Philippines · Attractive Remuneration Packages – up to 4 year Contracts recognized as a major and highly innovative Power Generation Utility with a mix of Sub and Super Critical Coal Fired Power Plants across the Philippines. A strategic initiative is the creation of a highly capable, centralized Outage Management Capability to service their own fleet with an eye towards servicing other Philippine Utilities. Reporting to the Senior Outage Manager, the role of Deputy Outage Manager will be responsible for the complete outage management of scheduled and or unscheduled outages across the complete fleet as well providing support for major / special projects as may be required from time to time. In order to meet the desired project/outage objectives for cost, schedule, quality, health and safety, and environmental compliance, the Deputy Outage Manager will manage services provided by plant Maintenance personnel, contractors and equipment manufacturer representatives as well as other internal Stakeholders. The Deputy Outage Manager will also coordinate and lead the post outage lessons learned / best practices meeting and distribute all minutes from the meetings. Ideally, the successful candidate will possess the following attributes, experiences and skills: · A strong Project Management or Outage background · Strong inter-personal, report writing and technical skills due to the many interfaces · Worked on construction sites as a Project /Outage Supervisor/ Manager. Ideally site construction experience with a minimum of 5 years. This site experience is seen as mandatory in the overall requirement of 10 years of overall experience in the discipline. · Strong background in Project Engineering/Procurement/Construction planning. This would involve working experience with managing a team of experienced planners using planning software, i.e. MS Project / preferably Primavera. The project uses P6 for its planning applications. · Experience on plant wide power utility systems – Coal Fired Power Plants or Petro-Chemical Plants · Strategic and analytical thinking abilities · Proven Leadership experience · Strong knowledge of standard for Contracts, i.e. NEC, FIDIC as well as bespoke contract experience Education in Discipline Engineering and Project Management is an advantage
