Commodity Trader 
10 yearsJob Description : COMMODITY TRADER OMAN one of the leading FMCG Companies in Oman. Our state of the art edible oil refining and bottling facility is in Salalah and catering in the Middle East and African markets. looking for an oil trader for all our commodity buying programs. The role involves optimization, execution of physical commodity and derivatives trades. Experience in fundamental understanding of edible oil complex and other soft commodities in the international trade in terms of prices, supply and demand. Tracking the market movements and ability to take right decision and device trading strategies. Execute selling and buying activities on electronic and physical platforms including, spot and futures. · Deliver value add through management & timing of hedging decisions and open position. · Leading the trading activity, with a highly commercial, entrepreneurial, and analytical mind set. · Develop, communicate and implement on a regular basis, strategies for OVOD exposures, to manage the commodity risk within the portfolio. · Understand global commodity market to assess possible future movements in the international trade. · Ensure OVOD trading activities are at all times compliant with Oman, and internal compliance policies and regulations. · Minimize OVOD transaction and credit costs through efficient market access. · Build and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external business stakeholders, sharing market intelligence and best practice. · Ensure key systems and tools are maintained to a level which allows the efficient access to markets, timely deal entry and accurate position calculation. · Drive, support and develop trading capabilities across teams. · A proven track record of building and managing supply chains, especially those focused on delivering data and services · The ability to grasp new information quickly and transform complexity into penetrating insight without losing relevant information. · Knowledge of trading in a commodity market. · Experience of working across teams/departments and countries to ensure operational excellence. · Represent and communicate OVOD towards internal and external stakeholders in a positive way. · Ability to lead a team of junior staffs· · Experience in Supply Chain / Logistics / Customer Collaboration / Planning, preferably in FMCG organization · Strong Analytical skills - able to interpret data and add insight and relevance to data · Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills · A good understanding of risk management, manufacturing efficiency and cost minimization. Qualification Bachelors/Masters degree in Business Administration/Economics/Supply Chain
