Business Head

Job Description : Business Head, NORTH INDIA Reporting to Director, for one of the divisions of one company having a group Turnover in excess of INR 5000 Crore. The candidate must be a BE having around 20 years of relevant experience, and would manage Operations for precision engineering automobile components, which promises to provide advance engineered world class products with assured high quality performance and long life to enhance customer satisfaction ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for driving the component business with project top line / bottomline growth, by formulating business plans with proper market segmentation and opportunities • Developing the new product in approved costing, GC and mutually agreed time-line • Ensure that manufacturing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the domestic & international market. • Actively pursuing to improve sales and meet predetermined sales objectives and targets. • Plan & schedule all production activities for timely completion of customer schedule by proactively clearing bottlenecks. • Developing the new product in approved costing, GC and mutually agreed time-line • Process engineering and process design for the existing setup and new setups to make them efficient. • Coordinating with the NPD teams to study the feasibility, getting approvals on the costing after analyzing the technical specifications and requirements • Tracking the progress of project w.r.t the committed time lines by functions like PE, production, tool room etc. Assuring the quality of the product, testing of the product and customer trial of the product before handing it over to production • Maintain and sustain existing relationships with oversees clients by providing quality and timely service SKILLS REQUIRED • Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines • Should have handled Green Field projects • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers • Understanding of leading manufacturing process specially in the automotive industry.
