Project Director

Job Description : PROJECT DIRECTOR MALDIVES Role - To lead a team to deliver high end luxury hospitality project in Maldives. Location - This incumbent will be based in Maldives for the tenure of the project . Education & Experience Requirement: · B.E. Civil from a reputed college. · 20 + Years of relevant experience in developing large scale leisure, hospitality development / Resort projects. · Should have mandatory experience of working in Maldives in constructing Luxury hotel / Resort. Key purpose of the job: Responsible for development of island project and managing cost, quality and timeline. The role is also required to monitor project performance vis--vis plan and actively engage with site level resources to ensure timely completion of the project. · Responsible for managing end of execution of project development. · Ensure construction as per agreed designs and cost management to maintain profitability · Responsible to oversee the procurement and contractual requirements on an overall basis · Coordinate with all stakeholders in relation to project planning, budget development and monitoring · Ensure all statutory compliances are maintained up to date at sites and other parties such as contractors also adhere to the required statutory compliances · Approve Work Breakdown Structure(WBS) of all projects in coordination with Project Heads and Site Planning resource · Set up project milestones and timelines for all activities · Post finalization of these plans, actively monitor compliance to timelines and cost and intervene in areas of deviations, including root cause analyses · Forecast Material Requirement at each phase of the project basis the project plan and provide this as input to the Procurement & Contracts team to support their planning · Identify any potential barriers and issues which are leading to significant project delays and notify management in a timely manner · Ensure project deadlines are met by setting up required meetings, identifying the need for additional resources and communicate the same to relevant stakeholders at site · Ensure that project changes are tracked and reported, calculate impact on the project timelines · Identify approaches through which project timelines can be compressed through the application of best in class practices · Drive extensive use of project scheduling software on sites · Undertake project timelines analysis at an overall/ holistic level to identify specific construction trends leading to project delays and work with the management to address them on priority · Ensure that all Quality Assurance & Quality Control activities are being carried out effectively and in a timely manner, so that the quality of material (cement, steel, etc) & equipment being used at the site is of required standards • Ensure the preparation & implementation of safety plans • Ensure that safety training is regularly conducted for all staff including contractor staff Education & Experience Requirement: · B.E.
