Chief Operating Officer

Job Description : COO QATAR FOR AUTO a Qatari-based conglomerate with significant international operations, they have over 20 divisions including a large automotive dealer group, which represents an enviable line-up of both passenger car and commercial vehicle brands. Reporting directly to the main Board, they are seeking to appoint a Chief Operating Officer to assume responsibility for this sector. The Role § Strategic thinking and hand-on delivery, lead the automotive Leadership teams in Qatar, UAE, US and UK to ensure elevated operational execution § Lead on M&A strategy and execution, identifying automotive businesses within the GCC and elsewhere for opportunities and managing the acquisition process to successfully acquire businesses that add value and would accelerate the overall strategy § Motivate and develop direct reports and the wider team, driving a collaborative, high performance team culture across multiple countries § Keep abreast of automotive trends, competitor activity & performance Ideal Candidate § Previous working experience in a senior operations leadership role within the retail automotive sector, overall responsibility for high-end premium and luxury brands § Culturally aware and respectful § Ability to execute successful market expansion strategies § Proven experience of managing large teams § Ability to lead, plan and thrive in an evolving and a fast-paced environment § Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach § Excellent written and verbal communication skills § Stakeholder management skills. The ability to influence, challenge and coach at all levels of the organisation § Proven strategic ability, able to effectively process and articulate complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders
