Regional Accounting and Reporting Director

Job Description : REGIONAL ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING DIRECTOR SINGAPORE We are a disruptor and enabler within the Digital and Fintech space registering strong growth year on year and have raised advanced stages funding from large reputable investors. They have completed a number of acquisitions in the recent years and is now focusing on integrating and optimising finance processes and structure to support the growth journey. They are now looking for a Regional Accounting & Reporting Director support in a series of process improvement projects and manage the fianncial reporting function for the APAC region. You will manage a team responsible for the regional accounting, US GAAP reporting and compliance function for the regional entities. You will be working closely with shared services team responsible for finance operations and review the external audit and tax compliance matters. You are key in providing technical accounting advice on business transactions and work alongside with other finance functions to support business strategies. You create a strong control environment per company guidelines and SOX compliance and consistently look into process re-engineering and improvements activities to drive efficiency. The ideal candidate should possess Degree in Finance & Accounting, CA/CPA qualified with >15 years of combined regional accounting and Big 4 experience combined. Knowledge in US GAAP and SOX knowledge is necessary. You are technically strong, takes initiative in problem solving and not afraid to challenge status quo. You thrive well in a fast-paced environment through ambiguities and complexities. You have proven track record in identifying areas of opportunities to improve on existing processes and SOPs. Experience in SAP is preferred.
