Operations Manager

Job Description : OPERATIONS MANAGER UAE FOR SNACKS looking for an ambitious and experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead the Operations Department, whilst shepherding the growth of the operations to new heights. This person must be a forward-thinking leader who can think outside the box and take a business through a huge transformational journey. This person must have Projects experience, as well as experience managing E2E manufacturing operations, including SC, Logistics, and Procurement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Direct and oversee Factory Operations · Responsible for the end to end operations of Procurement, logistics, demand and supply planning as well as Stores · Contribute to corporate strategy in the areas of Supply Chain, RM/Pm Stores, Production, Engineering, Projects, and regulatory department to ensure the company achieves its short and long-term objectives · Responsible to deliver all agreed production plans to the required standards within the agreed financial parameters and including the utilization and cascading of KPI’s · Responsible for identifying, planning and leading the execution of lean transformation events targeted towards improving the plant’s performance on Productivity, Quality, Costs, Delivery, Safety and Morale · Establish a solid foundation around 5s in the workplace with process, metrics, and ownership at all levels · Candidate needs to be a key driver of change within the plant, supporting management / cross-functional decisions by communicating the plant-wide changes to employees and helping them to learn, understand, adjust and grow with the business’s transformation · Control, evaluate and monitor forecast budgets and costs in respective areas to achieve financial objectives · Responsible to oversee the installation of the equipment's, machinery and all civil, building and engineering works involved in the project · Responsible to lead and manage project team, site activity and project execution from the start to completion of the project · Ensure project is kept on budget and within agreed timescales, communicating all issues and progress with the management team · Conduct monthly reviews to ensure accountability of all project activities as well as the accurate and timely reporting of financial deliverables · Responsible for achieving top line and PNL targets of the Unit · To work with technical representatives and deliver the highest quality food safety standards throughout the factory and to ensure the development of a “quality” culture within the team · Providing strategic direction to internal corporate teams on the design of the new innovations and the deployment of these innovations at the shop floor level · Responsible for reviewing team performance, appraisals, recruitment and training KEY INGREDIENTS · 8+ years of experience within the Food FMCG Manufacturing space · 2+ years of experience managing E2E Operations, including Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Logistics, Procurement, and Stores · Projects experience is essential · Greenfield project experience is preferred · Energetic & Ambitious · International experience is preferred · High Integrity · A collaborative and open approach to management · Growth mindset – and out of the box thinker is essential · Lead from the front · Commercial mindset – ability to communicate effectively with business partners and potential clients
