Head of Planning and Logistics

Job Description : Head of Planning & Logistics Projects NIGERIA FOR DANGOTE CEMENT will be responsible for managing the alignment and execution of the weekly/daily planner, manage all related projects within the logistics function ,implement replenishment plan that derives the highest regional dispatch attainment and management of the plant outbound S&OP Processes. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Review sales plans, customer budget updates or latest estimates and demand drivers. Present, solicit, and assess feedback on the various forecasts from sales, marketing and finance. Recommend adjustments for operational forecasts. Review promotional plans with sales and marketing, and evaluates impact on trade offtakes. 2. Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales, marketing and finance personnel: Prepare relevant material to facilitate research and discussion. Lead the plant outbound S&OP processes. 3. Execute a sustainable regional dispatch plan that optimizes the sales outlook per region in line with the target aggregation of regional allocation at customer level. 4. Logistics Projects: Coordinate the logistics projects scoping with the relevant process leads and ensure strict adherence to implementation milestone. Carry cost benefit analysis across the various project to facilitate seamless approval process. Establish hyper care horizon for all projects to ensure early adoption and buy-in by stakeholders. 5. Execute a sustainable regional dispatch plan that optimizes the sales outlook per region in line with the target aggregation of regional allocation at customer level. Requirements Minimum of a bachelor's degree in any relevant field of study A minimum of 12 -15 years’ relevant experience on the role. FMCG experience preferred Strong analytical and project management skills. Advanced knowledge with use of Microsoft Office Suite. Certification in Lean Six Sigma could be added advantage Robust understanding of rudiments of demand and supply planning process. Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and projects of various scale in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Proven financial and operations management Proven supply chain experience including demand and logistics planning and management
