General Manager

Job Description : GENERAL MANAGER for SLI (Gh) Ltd. on an urgent basis. We have a mixed portfolio of machineries from Europe, India & China at present and expanding the installed capacity with Indian & European machineries. We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of high graphics flexible laminated packaging films to most of the multinational companies operating in Ghana and the neighbouring countries; and have earned fame and expertise over the years to create a permanent niche’ in the mind of the buyers. Sintex Laminated Industry Ghana Ltd. is the first company in Ghana to start manufacturing of flexible laminated packaging films; and are going for 100% capacity expansion from July /August 2022 We are looking for a person with the following requirements : 1) Achiever with 100% target-orientation in terms of quantity and quality 2) Able to lead the company internally and manage a strength of around 100 people including expatriates, and train talents 3) Has grown in ranks preferably from the position of a Printing operator/ Supervisor and presently working as a Factory Manager /GM 4) Who will be a strict administrator and master-planner to achieve the targeted OEE & OTIF with reduction in wastage at every level of process 5) To spend 80% time on floor and 20% at office 6) Who is presently handling actual production of 800 – 1000 MT per month 7) Having sound experience in rotogravure printing technology, cylinder engraving and savings of ink / ethyl 8) Sound knowledge in designing and cylinder manufacturing 9) Having experience of ISO/BRC 10) Having working knowledge in ERP & Kaizen 11) Having exposure of meeting customers & suppliers at the highest level and users at customers’ factories at the operating level He must have the experience of at least 10-15 years and aged between 35-40 years; and will have the following as the KRAs : 1) Leading the team from the front and managing a team size of nothing less than 100 persons presently with minimum 4 to 5 printing machines supported by lamination & slitting machines 2) Hands on with the machines in printing, lamination, slitting 3) Responsible for Job Costing 4) Cost-savings in all terms --- consumption of energy, raw materials, logistics 5) Preparing MIS reports and sending to the top management on a daily basis 6) Managing raw material stock and controlling the stock 7) Developing the cylinders through the cylinder-manufacturers 8) Planning of various raw materials --- films, inks, chemicals against a forecasted quantity from sales 9) Preventive maintenance of machines & utilities through the engineering team 10) Achieving the desired OEE & OTIF
