Maintenance Manager

Job Description : MAINTENANCE MANAGER GHANA FOR PAPER Job Purpose The purpose of the Job is to achieve hep prolong the life of machines and minimize machine downtime. Operations Carry out inspections of the facilities on regular basis to identify and resolve issues on the factory floor Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities Monitor equipment/parts inventory and place orders when necessary Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance Allocation of the Manpower as budgeted and planned for each section Ensuring optimum utilization of the Plant Capacity Organizing maintenance team meetings & reviews Manage relationships with contractors and service providers Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities Service & Maintenance Ensuring timely execution of the Preventive Maintenance Ensure availability of the Spares as required for each section Identification & coordination with the External vendors for maintenance Having a proactive approach in identifying the maintenance need and thus reducing the downtime for the equipment Ensuring maintenance costs are in line with the maintenance budgets Having cost controlling approach Quality & Hygiene Ensuring machines are up and running for production is as per the agreed quality norms Ensuring minimum machine waste Ensuring proper housekeeping, cleanliness and hygiene on the shop floor/workshop EHS & Statutory Compliances Ensuring Building of the Factory, Drive Way, Pathways, are safe and maintained in good condition Ensuring Safety and Health of employees at all times Ensuring all safety norms are followed at all times Ensuring Statutory Compliances are met as per the local laws and Government regulatory authorities People Management & Resource Utilization Ensuring effective utilization of all resources including the Human Resource All machinery are well maintained and utilized as per the set normal Manpower Planning & Budgeting as per the agreed maintenance cost Ensuring Inter-department workflow is smooth and well coordinated Key Skills Technical or Functional Competencies Good experience as maintenance manager or other managerial role Experience in planning maintenance operations Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc Ability to keep track of and report on activi Vendor Management & Negotiation Skills Good Computer & MS Office Skills Analytical Skills Required Skills 8 Years of Experience Qualifications 8 - 10 years of working experience in the Packaging Industry-specific to Corrugated Cartons as Maintenance Manager, Africa experience preferred Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Packaging
