Construction Manager

Job Description : CONSTRUCTION MANAGER OMAN for a leading Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Company specializing in Fabrication, Construction and Maintenance Services for Refinery / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas Projects in Oman. Ed u cati on : B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 15+ years experience in project controls on Oil and Gas Engineering and Construction / Maintenance of Storage Tanks associated with Piping, Equipments, Erection, Civil, & E&I related activities. Strong HSE Culture essential, motivation and leadership quality Job Summary: -Construction Manager is a Prime member of the project team responsible for delivering proficiently, projects of varying size and complexity with HSEA as Prime requirement. -The Construction Manager is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling the Site activities, under the direction of the Project I Senior Project Manager (SPM) & Operations Manager (SOM) as well as representative. -Construction Manager will report technically to the client as well as STS Project / Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for all technical Issues related to his area of specialization. -Co-ordination between client, Consultant, Contractors & Sub-Contractors, TPI, Local Authorities etc. -Co-ordination with other engineering discipline specialists and Companys and Company's home office also required. -Supervision of works Including housekeeping, fabrication, Installation, testing, painting, HSE key assurance, habitual development of entire team and other related activities for construction of Storage tanks, Accessories Including Piping, Pump and other associated equipment erection & tasks as required at Site. -Progress monitoring and approvals. -Checking and certification of Contractor's Invoices with respect to the actual progress at site. -Maintain latest copies of all drawings and at the site office. -Ensure that works are carried out as per the latest & approved drawings and applicable engineering Codes & Standards, client and Local Authority requirements etc. -Ensure, audit that proper Quality control is maintained for all the works being carried out at site Irrespective to project schedule. -Material Inspections, review and approval of Material Certificates etc. -Process and resolve concession & deviation requests, non-conformities etc. from Clients and Contractors. -Conduct / Attend / Lead the team with dally, weekly and monthly meetings with client, Contractors. -Meetings and follow-ups with Local Authorities for obtaining necessary permits, approvals etc. -Review, comment and approve the construction related deliverable submitted by Contractors, Including procedures,method statements, ITPs etc. -Witness all destructive & non-destructive tests, examinations etc. by the Contractors. -Follow and set example all safety rules, recognize and report safety hazards. -Analyzes and resolves work related problems -Report all site related Issues on dally basis by means of DPR, WPR, MPR -Co-ordinate with Lead / Sr. Project engineers in all related activities. -Ensure that each and every activity is covered with specific work Procedure/sketch.
