Finance Control Manager
10 yearsJob Description : FINANCE CONTROL MANAGER NEW ZEALAND A leading FMCG company that serves over 200 countries globally is now on the hunt for a Finance Control Manager to join their NZ team. This role will have two direct reports and will be responsible for sustaining strong control frameworks and managing the financial reporting and financial services process. Review all Statutory and US GAAP financials on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis to ensure high quality submission. Manage relationship between the wider business and outsourced groups. Provide policy, control and accounting guidance to the wider business and stakeholders. Ensure financial data integrity through review of key reports and metrices. Drive continuous process improvement to create further efficiencies in all control areas such as Financial Reporting, Fixed Asset, Accounts Payable and Receivable as well as Internal Control and governance. Manage retained activities and proactively review current processes for potential productivity improvements. Preparation and Review of the necessary external reporting requirements (eg. Statutory accounts, payroll tax, PAYE, etc) to ensure that they have been accurately prepared. Ownership of the necessary internal and external reporting requirements. Manage ongoing relationships with external service providers. Lead, motivate and develop a team to building capability whilst ensuring activities are completed accurately and on time. Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety and welfare of staff. Sustain strong internal controls across NZ key functional process with support. Schedule and help facilitate Risk Assessments. Assist in designing and improving existing controls. Lead local Risk and Audit Committee meetings. Degree & CA/CPA qualified. Minimum of 10 years experience in financial accounting and management roles. An ability to think laterally, challenge the accepted norms and to continually look at driving positive change and improvements. Process evaluation/internal control understanding (SOX preferred). Strong commercial and financial awareness, monitoring, co-ordination and budget ownership. Collaborative, outcome focused and positive approach to change/ issue management. Demonstrated planning, organisation; analytical skills; deadline focused; attention to detail; and prioritisation. Excellent communication (written & oral) skills and a successful track record in liaising with any and all key stakeholders. Demonstrated people management. PC & ERP systems experience/knowledge (SAP, HFM preferred). Statutory accounting experience, including consolidated accounts.
