Job Description : CEO REIT MALAYSIA One of the largest Malaysian organisations is searching for a CEO - REIT. In this job, you will join the group and take the lead on their REIT business. This role is open to candidates from all nationalities and countries In this business critical role, you will be responsible for managing the entire business operations of the REIT with the initial focus on business development and asset diversification. You will also formulate and execute a solid REIT business plan for long-term growth and sustainability. Formulate policies, strategies, and proposed actions that lead to the creation of value for shareholders and present to the board for approval Drive, deliver the long-term plans that lead to the maintenance of a satisfactory competitive position within the real estate industry Direct the overall business operations of the REIT Have ultimate accountability for the development and execution of the strategy and policies of the REIT and communication to the trustees and shareholders of the trust Day-to-day operations of the REIT, including the annual planning process, capital management, financial management, leasing, acquisitions, divestitures, etc., all of which must be accomplished within the strategic framework of the REIT established by the trustees Represent the trust to its major shareholders, including investment and financial communities, governments, customers and the public Acquisitions of new properties or initiation of new undertakings or the assumption of any commitment, obligation or liability other than in the ordinary and normal course of business Ensure that administrative and building technical staff resolves tenant problems promptly and that services are provided in compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and contractual obligations and standards Ensure periodic regular property inspection and recommends and/or approves alterations, maintenance and reconditioning as necessary Enhance the value proposition of the assets, thereby increasing the asset value Be responsible for the marketing and leasing of the properties, and new leases and lease renewals Issuance or sale of securities of the trust and/ or rights, options or warrants to acquire securities of the trust Declaration or payment of a distribution in respect of any securities of the trust transaction, contract, agreement, undertaking or arrangements The successful CEO – REIT must have strong experience within commercial/corporate real estate but with strong experience in deal-making and business development strategies. Professional qualifications/MBA/ACCA or degree in real estate management/finance/business management Minimum of 15 - 20 years’ experience in REIT At least 10 years in a senior management capacity within corporate real estate or corporate leasing Strong leadership and strategic planning skills Competence in cash management, P&L management, financial, corporate finance, etc. Prior experience in REIT or fund management is an added plus point Strong emotional intelligence, mentoring skills and adaptability Commercial and objective-driven to develop and grow a business; entrepreneurship nature Strong communication skills in English and other local languages
