Chief Financial Officer 
20 yearsJob Description : FO OMAN Nationality: Any. Location: Oman. Role Objective: The incumbent shall lead the finance function with accountability for delivering financial and non- financial results working closely with the business heads. He/she shall perform financial analysis, reporting, costs and profitability management, business processes improvement, working capital management and other financial functions, as deemed necessary. Duties and Responsibilities Strategic: 1. Advise the CEO and other key members within Finance in maintaining high level operating cash-flow forecasts. 2. Advise the Finance team in the selection and application of accounting policies as well as the analysis of accounting implications of transactions. 3. Work with department managers to develop business and strategic plans for the organization and validate the financial aspects of such plans. 4. Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments. Functional Budgeting: 5. Assist departments to develop budget both CAPEX and OPEX for respective units, and review of monthly performance. 6. Analyze reports of planned vs. actual performance for each department, identify key issues and identify corrective action required in discussions with the top management to ensure that company budgets are accurately defined and monitored. 7. Conduct business operations review to identify areas of improvement from financial management and cost reduction point of view. 8. Responsible for directing and managing the financial programs and supporting information systems of the department to include budgeting, receipt of revenue, expenditure of funds, and conservation of assets. 9. In conjunction with team members of multiple disciplines within the department, coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analysis, and information reports, present recommendations for programmatic and fiscal changes to management. Working capital Management: 10. Working capital Management: 11. Compile cash flow on a periodic basis and take appropriate action. 12. Supervise the follow up schedules for the unbilled items, and for collection as per terms of payment. 13. Arrange payment to vendors as per agreed credit terms. Also coordinate with procurement for better credit facilities. 14. Liaison with Supply Chain and Operations to monitor costs against activities. Treasury: 15. Develop long-term relationships with financial institutions and banks, liaise with banks and financial institutions to mobilize the funds required, coordinate preparation of the documentation required by the institutions and banks to ensure that the company receives the required finances from institutions and banks. 16. Analyze cash inflow statements and management reports in order to provide guidance to the top management on investment and budget issues. 17. Ensure adherence Company policies and procedures and authority limits setup for expenses and cash outflow. Monthly Accounts: 18. Lead the financial accounting and reporting function within the organization. 19. Coordinate and oversee monthly financial operations of business units to ensure synchronization of financial activities and avoid discrepancies in record keeping. 20. Monitor outstanding receivables and ensure prompt invoicing of accrued revenue within the invoice cycle in line with the respective contract rates. 21. To be instrumental in the development / enhancement of electronic accounting systems and databases, where appropriate. 22. Provide monthly MIS reports reporting unusual/trend analysis/exceptions etc. to the management. Statutory: 23. Finalization of annual accounts and arrange for completion of Audit. 24. Responsible for completion of all tax obligations in Oman including filing of returns and closure of tax assessment. Policy: 25. Develop financial and accounting policies, systems, processes and controls for the finance department; monitor deployment and adherence to ensure that there are clearly defined guidelines for financial and accounting policies, processes and systems. People Development: 26. Select, train and develop direct reportees and other subordinates to ensure continuous improvement of finance function. 27. Set KPIs for team members and conduct periodic performance appraisal in line with the company’s performance management program. 28. Contribute to company’s Omanization targets through the development of Omani Nationals in the workforce. 29. Any other duties as requested by Management. KEY INTERACTIONS 1. MINIMUM EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Education: · Degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent, preferably with and Master’s degree in Finance and good understanding of Accounting principles and techniques. · CA / ICWA / CPA /CMA qualification is preferable. Experience: · 15 years of broad exposure to Finance practices preferably in a progressive organization, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
