10 yearsJob Description : FINANCE HEAD MALAYSIA An exciting Head of Finance job has just become available at one of the most well-established IT services organisations based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will will serve as a business partner to various commercial leaders within the country. As the Head of Finance, you will work directly with the commercial teams to provide the financial insights necessary to evaluate new product introductions from an investment, costing, pricing, and margin perspective. Identify and implement process improvements cross functionally, streamline workflows, and ensure projects adhere to approved benchmarks Thoroughly understand new product opportunities and analyse, define, and articulate your recommendations to business partners and senior leadership Influence cross-functional team members on the prioritisation of new projects and will help the team to deliver against financial targets, including guiding remediation if necessary Manage existing processes and cadences and establish "outside the box" thinking while influencing stakeholders Prepare all financial management reports, including interpretation of financial results, forward view projections and variances to budgets and forecasts Prepare robust financial budgets and forecasts that support business planning processes, including the delivery of business case scenario modelling, ‘what-if’ analysis, viability information, risks and opportunities analysis. Build and maintain product costing and forecasting models for new product launches Lead the finance processes for multiple business units, such as forecasting, reporting, and tracking risks and opportunities Analyse data and provide information, including profitability of newly launched projects versus expectations Identify and resolve complex technical, operational, and organisational challenges and drive process improvements Prepare and present product-launch phase gate presentations alongside the commercial teams that provide a detailed plan supported by financial metrics Support the FP&A and commercial functions in developing the annual budgeting cycle Review and establish financial and non-financial KPI's (key performance indicators) MBA or equivalent in Business Management, International Business, Accounting or Finance Minimum of 10 - 12 years post qualifying experience in a large corporate preferably with diverse presence in Asia Pacific countries Previous experience in a similar role that requires strong understanding of financial controls, accounting, reporting and business partnering Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information and analysis to various audiences in a manner that ensures their understanding Experienced in phase-gate review processes for new product launches Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment, whilst prioritising tasks and applying high levels of attention to detail High level literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills, including intermediate computer skills (including use of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerBI, Tableau and PowerPoint)
