General Manager

Job Description : GM ZAMBIA FOR INJECTION AND BLOW MOLDING The position of the General Manager consists of planning, directing and coordinating the operations of the Organization. The required person will be reporting to the board of directors. Managerial skills: • The ability to be running the day - to - day operations of the company. • S/He must be reliable, honest, of good standing and character. • Ability to deal with persons ranging from the office cleaner to the Plant manager, i.e., people at all levels in the company Knowledge on cost control and Strong business sense and industry expertise Technical skills: • Must have experience in Plastic manufacturing company(s) • Experience in Sales & Marketing is a must • Experience in Operations and systems MIS • Must have worked with at least one African Country - this is a MUST, • Experienced working with or skilled in these departments: Imports, Production, Stores & distribution, Sales - this will be a strong advantage Operations and Finance Competencies and Attributes. Ability to Communicate effectively, verbally and or in writing - with local and international suppliers, local and export customers, bankers and government officials in a professional, courteous and effective manner Good command of written and spoken English. Be intuitive and resourceful to develop the business as we grow our reach within and outside of the country where they would be based Able to delegate and get feedback from heads of departments within the company. Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skill Liaise with the general manager or operations manager in any of the countries Qualification and Requirements • Having at least one suitable degree related to the position of General Manager and or the attributes listed above. • Age - between 40-55 • 15-20 years experience in Plastic Manufacturing companies Salary & Benefits Furnished Accommodation and Paid Utilities Driver with Company Car for official purposes. Probation period of 3 months / Leave Travel of 24 days after successful completion of 1 year from probation period
