12 yearsJob Description : FACTORY MANAGER ZAMBIA for INJECTION MOLDING The position of the Factory Manager consists of planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations as per required standards. Analyze Daily. S/He is Responsible for overall Production and Maintenance of Machines and Moulds. Report to the board as and when required. Job Description • Production Reports from all shifts and send a consolidated report on the production to the management on daily basis. • Supervise & monitor the Production Shift Managers. Guide them well and give proper directions to improve efficiency and increase productivity. • Set and monitor standard process parameters for all machines & Molds. • Have regular meetings with Sales and Stores departments and plan the Production Schedule on a weekly basis. • Liaise with the operations manager to this end. • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining optimum quality standards. • Monitor and supervise the secondary activities such as Printing and Packing before it is forwarded to the Stores. • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize capacities to produce optimal results • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to the Production Team. • Monitor plant Operations and trigger Preventive & Corrective actions. • Give utmost importance to plant safety procedures. • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets. • Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts. • Work with the Operations Manager to optimize the production plant and processes to best serve the requirements of the sales department. • Liaise with the CFO for all Purchases. • Liaise with the Directors for planning of imports of raw materials. Qualifications and Requirements • Proven track record as a Factory / Plant Manager in a Plastic Injection Molding company for at least 5Years as a Production Head. • Overall, 12-15 Years working experience in a Plastic Manufacturing company (Rigid Plastics -Injection Moulding). • Engineering Degree / CIPET from a well-recognized and reputed University • Proven Managerial skills, Man-Management techniques and People Management Skills. • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources) • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation and inventory processes • Computer literacy specially in Windows Excel, Word & Power point. • Knowledge of ISO Standards having worked in an ISO Manufacturing Plant will be an added advantage. • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example. • Create and work with a team to bring in the results and improvements as directed and required by the board. Salary and Benefits Reasonable Local Salary + Utilities paid by the Company Furnished Accommodation and Company Car with Driver (For Official use) + Medical Insurance. Air passage to India or any other country once a year with paid leave and then after completion of 2 Years
