Finance Director

Job Description : FINANCE DIRECTOR UAE for shipping company AED 50-60K Internationally operating local group is looking for a strong ‘number 2’ to the CFO. Supporting with the complex budgeting process and FP&A is the main focus. Oversees and manages financial and accounts functions of the Group, formulates and administers the ?overall strategic financial plans including new funding, restructuring/refinancing etc to optimize the interest cost and fund position. Oversees the Group Budget preparations, consolidation of monthly and yearly Accounts and reporting, analyzing variance with the budget, responsible for timely completion of external audit, establish and monitor internal controls, based on company policies and oversee Tax function. Managing the feasibility studies of new projects, evaluation of investments and financial modelling. Responsibilities Overall strategic planning including new funding, restructuring/refinance Continuous monitoring of the cash position to ensure smooth cash flow of the company Optimise the finance cost by negotiating with the lenders Manages/enter in to Profit/Interest Rate Swap Ensures and manages compliance of finance covenants stipulated by banks Asses the forecast cash position on a periodic basis to ensure capex and debt services can be made after keeping sufficient cash balance for working capital Oversee Group and subsidiaries audit functions for timely completion of the Group audit. Review of various financial statements in connection with year-end audit prepared in line with the IFRS. Critically review Budget/ forecasts and five-year Plan Critically review budgets prepared by various business units Review of Consolidated Group annual budget and five-year plan. Oversee various investment evaluations and for all new, potential and exiting investment proposals & opportunities such as financial analysis, financial modeling, project feasibility, Due Diligence etc. Oversee the taxation function Requirements Chartered Accountant 20 years experience in a large finance department, of which at least 5 years spent at FD level Ideally the candidate will have started their career in the Big 4 or another top MNC Excellent Analytical Skills Excellent Financial Management Skills Superior skills in Financial budgeting, planning and reporting Strong experience in Financial policy development Experience in Organizational performance analysis Prior exposure to risk management, fraud detection, reconciliation, feasibility. Excellent Interpersonal Skills & strong team manager Strong Business Acumen
