General Manager

Job Description : GM STEEL MANUFACTURING UAE UAE family group, whom specialise in the Construction and Engineering sectors. Operating throughout the GCC region for many decades, our client are looking to hire an experienced General Manager, who will oversee the groups Steel Manufacturing services and factory. The Groups Steel business is one of the leading providers to the civil contractors industry in the UAE. The General Manager will spearhead the factory operations by developing and establishing a strong sales presence of the steel rebar factory in the UAE market with the ability to upscale as per the factory potential and market demands. This senior role will require the incumbent to evaluate the current performances of the factory and liaise with the management team to establish a long-term, strategic roadmap and be responsible for achieving top and bottom lines, as well as company growth, set by the management. In conjunction, the position will propose manufacturing and operations improvement schemes to enhance production processes, control wastage, minimise defects and maintain high quality standard as demanded by its loyal customer base. The General Manager will proactively develop and foster long-term relationships with existing and potential customers including owners, developers, real estate professional, architects, engineers and contractors. Simultaneously this Management position will supervise all of the day-to-day operations of the steel rebar factor, including the purchase, commercials, engineering and finance departments, whilst presenting monthly reports on operational and financial performance to the owners. able to demonstrate a sustained track record (10 years minimum) within the Steel Manufacturing sector. The successful candidate should be a highly motivated individual whom has extensive knowledge in steel fabrication operations and have strong connections within the construction industry. The incumbent will hold a relevant Degree from a recognised University and preferably be fluent in Arabic, with strong communications skill, both written and verbal.
