Supply Chain Director

Job Description : SUPPLY CHAIN DIRECTOR MALAYSIA An established EMS company is looking for a Supply Chain Director to lead supply chain activities which includes material planning, inventory management, warehousing, logistics and purchasing. In this position, you will lead end-to-end supply chain aspects to manage materials effectively, optimise inventory holding and cost. Direct the day-to-day activities in Material Planning, Inventory, Warehousing, Logistics, Purchasing, Business Compliance, ERP System and Regulatory Identify and implement cost reduction activities Work with Customer Focus Team in communicating and negotiating with customers relating to demand, commitments, non-performing inventory or process changes/improvements Take leadership, ownership and responsibilities to drive inventory management to meet goals and targets daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly including collaborating with other sites Lead strategic and tactical short-term, mid-term and long-term initiatives including process/continuous improvements, action plans, training, education, coaching, guidance, seamless implementation and execution Manage inventory and establish controls to ensure site is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimise supply chain risk Develop strategies, policies, procedures, and overall team to optimise value of the entire function in creating a world class materials management group Develop and continuously improve supplier programs Participate in existing and new product planning processes to assure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches Over 20 years of working experience across various supply chain facets (Material Planning, Inventory, Warehousing, Logistics & Purchasing) within EMS industries/electronics contract manufacturing Possess strong analytical skills, influential, agile to adapt quickly to changes in markets and focused on accuracy Able to resolve conflicts, strong sense of urgency, proactive and possess the foresight to plan ahead for the business Excellent interpersonal skills, strong stakeholder management capability to communicate effectively with other functional heads Knowledge of ERP system is highly regarded
