Civil Project Manager

Job Description : CIVIL PROJECT MANAGER NIGERIA Candidate with 15 plus yrs. of experience in the field of planning, engineering and industrial construction (Iron/Power), Industrial buildings, ware houses Material handling systems, Balance of plant, township, water systems, plant roads and drains activities and should have handled at least one steel plant project as Project Manager. Job description: Establishing design parameters, approving construction drawings and providing procurement specifications etc. Conducting geotechnical investigations, topographical surveys etc. required for establishing new projects. · Responsible for planning, Monitoring & execution of projects. · Responsible for safety & project quality assurance/quality control. · Responsible for the engineering, design, construction, and commissioning of the project · To develop a able and effective project team. · Should be able to contribute in building a positive team spirit, able to build high morale among the team and create commitments, goals and objectives · Plan to determine time frame, financial limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing Manpower requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. · Establishes work plan for each phase of project. · Responsible for Costing and Budgeting, should develop and implement cost saving measures, conserve organizational resources. · Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on Schedule and within prescribed budget. · Responsible for Interacting with Architects, Vendors, PMC, contractors for execution · Reviews status reports prepared by field Managers and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others. Discusses with field Manager to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. · Prepare/Review and enforce company quality control and health and safety matters standard operating procedures for construction sites. · Review the drawings , estimating quantity and costs of materials, machinery, manpower etc. Should have knowledge of CAD/AutoCAD, Planning, Conceptual Skill Should enforce the quality assurance requirements of contractors / sub-contractors Should be Conversant with MS office, Word, Excel, Auto cad. Sound knowledge of Project Management Techniques and Project Management Tools like Primavera, MS Project is needed. In-depth understanding of construction, materials, and industry Qualification: BE in Civil engineering.(Full Time)
