Chief Financial Officer

Job Description : CFO MALAYSIA A CFO - Sarawak-Based job has just become available with one of the retail companies based in Sarawak. The CFO reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is a member of the Executive Committee (Exco). The CFO will primarily have day-to-day responsibilities in planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports through the execution of established financial and accounting policies and effective management of accounting system, in compliance with local statutory requirements as well as shareholder requirements Improve management reporting system to generate reliable, timely and credible information. Analyse cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide management Develop and implement appropriate procedures for the ordering, receiving, and management of stock/inventory, including controls to minimise wastage/pilferage and other losses Lead in the development of budget and strategic plans to ensure that the financial implications of such plans are fully evaluated, justified and understood by the Exco Ensure the finance department’s ability to fulfil its responsibilities through proper organisation, staffing, development and motivation of department employees In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles Knowledge in financial and accounting regulations and statutory requirements Demonstrated ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills in English Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to motivate and manage subordinates and team members
