Senior Procurement Manager

Job Description : SENIOR PROJECT PROCUREMENT ENGINEER THAILAND An exciting Senior Procurement Engineer (Project) role (x 1 vacancy) has just become available at one of global leading chemicals company based in Rayong, Thailand. This is a role for a seasoned buyer or purchasing engineer who has solid background in chemical/petrochemical industry with working experience for indirect purchasing for capital project. In this business-critical role, you will be responsible for managing all purchasing activities and maintaining excellent relationship with supplier. Reporting directly to Procurement Manager, you will cooperate with other key internal stakeholders to develop cost reduction target and manage procurement of non related products (services, manpower, sub-contractors and MRO). You will enjoy attractive housing allowance and bonus for this role. Develop excellent relationship with suppliers and lead supplier performance evaluation according to company’s standards Responsible for daily operations of indirect purchasing (services, manpower, sub-contractors and MRO), cost reduction, supplier development & evaluation for new programme purchasing (sourcing new suppliers) Conduct tool progress tracking and regular review with suppliers Ensure compliance with the company’s procedures, guidelines, rules, and regulations in the responsible area Coordinate with internal stakeholders about their purchase requirements and ensure that products and services are met their requirements/specifications and delivery schedule Coordinate with internal procurement team to manage or resolve process or supplier related issues as with key stakeholders. Manage sourcing projects, lead supplier qualification, RFI, RFQ, competitive bidding, bid evaluation and lead negotiation with suppliers Ensure all documents, such as purchase order and contract agreements Responsible for ERP transaction (SAP) related to purchasing activities To succeed in this role, you must have the ability to work cooperatively with other functions and global counterparts with a keen understanding in business acumen and purchasing goals in chemical/petrochemical industry Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred At least 10 years’ experience working in purchasing in chemical/petrochemical industry Background working in chemical/petrochemical industry, sourcing experience for indirect materials/services are preferable Great interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills Excellent English in written and spoken, any other language skill is a plus
